Do I need to move my components to the VS Marketplace?
The VS Marketplace does not yet support Xamarin Components, though we anticipate this in the near future. We encourage all publishers to the Component Store to also publish their libraries to NuGet in anticipation of this migration.
Today, partners that opt-in to Xamarin as an Integration Area at the Alliance/Premier levels will be offered benefits by Xamarin University and will have greater development support by Xamarin's product teams. They will also be eligible for partner initiatives and events around the Visual Studio mobile story as it evolves.
How will I know about new Partner initiatives and events?
Your Partner Portal will have a Dashboard of upcoming events and announcements and full descriptions of Partner Benefits. Watch the VSPP Newsletter for new opportunities and initiatives from the Partner Team.
How will Sim-Ship work with my Eligible Products that integrate with Xamarin?
We encourage Partners to stay current with most recent updates to the Xamarin framework, by building against our alpha and beta channels. In lieu of a tradition Sim-Ship Program, we are offering Alliance and Premier Members the Xamarin Early Release Benefit, allowing prioritization of bugs submitted by our Partners.
If I don't build tools for Visual Studio, why would I be in the Program?
Now that Xamarin is a part of Visual Studio, we want all of the developers using Visual Studio for cross-platform mobile development to have access to best-in-breed tools and services across the mobile ecosystem. This Program offers you resources from our product teams to easily integrate with the Visual Studio family of products and the best ways to gain exposure to the millions of Visual Studio developers.
Is this Program focused only toward .NET developers?
No. With the development of Visual Studio Code and the Visual Studio Mobile Center, the Program and its Partners has the capacity to reach the ever-widening developer community around Visual Studio. As a part of our mobile ecosystem, we are eager to find ways to inspire your developer community around our products.

What are the requirements to be an Alliance/Premier Member with 'Xamarin' as an integration area?
Alliance or Premier Level Partners that select Xamarin as an Integration Focus must have Eligible Products that are either a published library in the Xamarin Component Store or have documentation that supports an operational integration with the Xamarin framework. Partners will assume responsibility for the continued support of these integrations and will remain concurrent with the most recent release of the Xamarin framework (see Xamarin Early Release Benefit found on vspartners.com/benefits).
What impact will the Visual Studio Partner Program have on my business?
The Visual Studio Partner Program provides direct access to business-enhancing marketing and technical resources, previews of upcoming technologies and key integration scenarios, and support for developing products that integrate with Visual Studio, TFS, Visual Studio Team Services, Visual Studio Code, or Xamarin.
