Visual Studio Partner Summit 2017

We are excited to announce that our annual Visual Studio Partner Summit 2017 event will be held at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, Washington on September 20-22, 2017.

The Visual Studio Partner Team has been hard at work preparing a more agile and interconnected way for us to engage with our partners and we are excited to share our thoughts, plans, and proposed opportunities with you at the 2017 Visual Studio Partner Summit. Come 'under the hood' of our product and sales strategies to keep up with the ever-quickening pace of technology.

The Visual Studio product teams, from .NET, to mobile, to all the tools that support a DevOps environment, will be sharing their roadmaps and future opportunities for partners. Dive deeper with these teams through our 'Summit Labs'—a series of workshops that explore the newest features in 15.3 or the APIs behind Visual Studio Mobile Center. Want to go even deeper? Did you say DevOps? The adoption of modern DevOps practices is transforming what is possible in the scale and complexity of modern application development, and your tools provide a critical ecosystem for success. Brian Harry, CVP of Visual Studio Team Services, will be kicking off the Summit and will be joined by many of the lead engineers from the Visual Studio Team Services team. Come get to know Mario Rodriguez, Joe Bourne, and the whole extensibility team and learn how we can better go-to-market together in the DevOps space. You will also have the opportunity to demo your tools to an MVP community of DevOps consultants from around the world. We are also featuring a dedicated marketing track called "Beyond the Benefits", which will drill down on the ways we co-market with our partners and the various communities we are trying to reach.     In the Grand Hall at the Microsoft Conference Center, 5:30 – 8:00p, we will host the VS Partner Technology Showcase. This will be a compelling opportunity for you to show off your solution-oriented demos and/or present any product offers/co-selling packages you'd like to offer to Microsoft evangelists, MVPs, and consulting service partners

    The primary audience includes Microsoft's most valued MVPs and partners who deliver DevOps consulting on behalf of Microsoft, sales and marketing leaders from the Microsoft Cloud & Enterprise organization, and Product leads from across the Visual Studio family.

  • 'Beyond the Benefits' Workshop Series. Have you struggled with how to get the best ROI behind your co-marketing with Microsoft? Connect with the leaders behind your Visual Studio benefits to understand their goals and the best ways you might engage with us across: social media, events, sales collateral, virtual campaigns, and more. Be sure to invite your marketing leaders so that they can engage directly with us and learn more about the communities that can help deliver our joint value propositions to customers.
  • Summit Labs. Roll up your sleeves and get into the code of Visual Studio 15.3, .NET Core, Visual Studio Mobile Center's extensible APIs, Visual Studio for Mac, and more. This technology-focused track will get you on the ground-floor of previews and experiments from our Visual Studio product teams.
  • Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers at Safeco Field. A chance to kick back and enjoy an exciting baseball game and great food and drinks in the Mariners executive suites with the DevOps Partners and MVPs, and with Microsoft's product, sales and marketing leaders.

    Join us for an evening of fun and excitement as we watch the Seattle Mariners take on the Texas Rangers. There's no better place to enjoy the game than the exclusive club suites with DevOps MVPs and product, sales and marketing leaders from Cloud & Enterprise. Friday, September 22nd (Optional Day)

  • DevOps Solutions Roundtables
    • Submit a roundtable discussion topic (or two) pertaining to the technical or cultural challenges of implementing modern DevOps in an open-source, multi-platform, multi-device world. Content should be directed at Senior Architect-level DevOps MVPs and Visual Studio Team Services product leads. Deadline: August 7th, 2017.
    • Microsoft will share these topics with attending DevOps Partners and the highest-voted topics will be scheduled. You will receive a hosting confirmation on or before September 4th, 2017.
    • Roundtables will be 1 hour each. Visual Studio Partners are responsible for guiding the conversation and making sure that there is enough relevant content to fill the hour. Demos and technical walk-throughs are encouraged, but the goal is to be as interactive as possible—not a pure 'product pitch'.
  • 1:1 Meetings with Microsoft Product & Marketing Teams
    • Submit your scenarios, questions, and issues to be addressed one-on-one with a corresponding subject matter expert from the Visual Studio marketing organization or one of the following product groups: VS IDE, VSTS, VS Code, Xamarin.Forms, VS for Mac, and VS Mobile Center. Deadline: September 1, 2017.
    • These 1 hour meetings will be scheduled between 9am – 4pm, based on availability. Please indicate in your registration which teams you would like to connect with and we will confirm availability.
  • Microsoft Company Store and Microsoft Museum visit.
